This cherry wood ornament makes a perfect gift to celebrate a new beach house house! It would also be a great way to remember fun summertime vacation memories, or to celebrate a wedding or engagement. The map of the town is engraved and the coast line is cut off the edge of the ornament on the side that the coast would be on a map. The ornament measures about 3 inches at its longest side and it comes in a presentation box with the town name printed on the lid. In addition to being a visually striking detail, it is also a convenient place to safely store the ornament between holiday seasons.

When ordering simply tell me the name of the town and the state. By default I'll make it with just the name of the town engraved but if you would like additional text, a star or heart engraved at a location, or a different font than the one shown in the pictures, also let me know when ordering or in a message to me.

I design each ornament to order so I truly can make an ornament with ANY town. In rare cases, if the coast line is very curvy (for example if the desired town is along a bay) I may need to engrave the coast line rather than cut it out as shown in the example pictures.

My biggest priority is to make sure that you are ordering something that you think is perfect; if you would prefer to see the design before ordering, please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to draw it up for you. It would bum me out if you receive something that you aren't happy with because you were nervous to contact me about it, so trust me when I say I am happy to help. :)

The cherry wood used to make this ornament is sourced from street trees in the western Michigan area that have been removed due to construction or storm damage -- not their timber value. After I pick out the wood at the sawmill, I personally process it through a long series of planing and sawing steps, and I finally laser cut it and apply a food-safe hand-rubbed oil finish.
