This cherry wood ornament would be a perfect gift for a new homeowner! It would also be a great way to celebrate a marriage or graduation, or to commemorate a memorable vacation there. The writing shown is merely a suggestion and can be customized however you like, and a heart or star can be cut out at a location if you desire. Also I'd change the location of the text box if it happens to be situated on top of the location being commemorated.

The ornament measures 3 inches from top to bottom and it comes at no extra charge in a gift box as shown in the pictures, which is also a convenient way to safely store the ornament between holiday seasons. The cherry wood is sourced from street trees in the western Michigan area that have been removed due to construction or storm damage -- not their timber value. After I pick out the wood at the sawmill, I personally process it through a long series of planing and sawing steps, and I finally laser cut it and apply a hand-rubbed oil finish.

My biggest priority is to make sure that you are ordering something that you think is perfect; if you would prefer to see the design before ordering, please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to draw it up for you. Because wood is a natural material, there is some variation in the wood grain and color therefore no two ornaments will ever be exactly alike.
