Michigan keychain made in the USA from salvaged cherry hardwood

This is a solid wood keychain made in the USA by me. While you might initially think it wouldn't be very durable I carefully orient the wood grain to take advantage of the incredible strength of cherry wood. I always test the strength of my keychain designs before I begin selling them, and they pass if the metal keyrings break before the wood does when I put a large amount of force on the keychain. It takes a lot of force to unravel a metal keyring, and the wood is stronger than that.

A star or a heart cutout can be added to make the keychain extra personalized. Please not that while the default keychain ships within two business days, the personalized version will ship within 5 business days or so.

The wood part of the keychain measures approximately 1.9" x 1.5". The wood is protected with cutting board oil which can be reapplied at any point if the wood looks dry or dirty.

The wood is solid cherry wood. I personally pick out rough lumber at a sawmill in Missouri which sources lumber only from urban trees that have been removed due to storm damage or construction, and I personally do every step of the processing afterwards. This long series of jointing, planing, and bandsawing operations results in wood that is made exactly to my specifications. While it is more effort than buying birch plywood or alder wood, it is totally worth it. The warm depth and richness of solid cherry wood is completely natural, and because it is sourced from salvaged street trees it is also sustainable!
