This keychain makes for a wonderful personalized gift! I can engrave a personalized note, a child's drawing, or even a note from a handwritten letter on tough black walnut hardwood that is sustainably sourced from Missouri street trees.

This keychain can be engraved with any hand writing sample. A well lit picture or a scan would give the best results, but I can work with fuzzy dark pictures too. When ordering, simply send me a message with a picture of the desired hand writing and I will trace it for the engraving. The back of the keychain can also be engraved with something. That could be for example: a date, or coordinates, or any other text or numbers.

The wood part of the keychain measures 2.2 inches by 0.75 inch. The cherry wood is sourced from street trees in the western Michigan area that have been removed due to construction or storm damage -- not their timber value. After I pick out the wood at the sawmill, I personally process it through a long series of planing and sawing steps, and I finally laser cut it and apply a hand-rubbed oil finish.

Because wood is a natural material, there is some variation in the wood grain and color therefore no two keychains will ever be exactly alike.

--Can you engrave a kid's drawing?

Yes! It doesn't have to be handwriting, it can be a drawn picture as well. A drawing on light colored paper with a dark colored utensil gives the best results.

--I have some old letters from a relative, can you 'construct' a message from them in their handwriting?

I have done so in the past and had good results from it. The more writing that you can provide, the better it will turn out. It would also be best if the desired phrase or word is at least partially written.
