This keychain can be engraved with any hand writing sample. If it is clear then I use an automatic tracing tool so it is an exact replica of the handwriting. If it is blurry then I hand trace it; while I am quite good at tracing handwriting samples, the best results would still come from a very clear image of the text.

When ordering, simply send me a message with a picture of the desired hand writing and I will trace it for the engraving.

The back of the keychain can also be engraved with something. That could be for example: a date, or coordinates, or any other text or numbers.

My biggest priority is making sure that what you purchase is exactly what you are looking for, so please feel free to message me with your ideas and I'd be happy to draw up the design for you before I make it. It would bum me out if you receive something that you aren't happy with because you were nervous to contact me about it, so trust me when I say I am happy to help. :)

The wood part of the keychain measures 2.6 inches by 0.5 inch. The wood is protected with cutting board oil, which can be reapplied at any point if the wood looks dry or dirty.

The wood part of the keychain is made from solid cherry wood. After the wood comes out of the kiln at the sawmill, I do every step of the processing myself; while it is labor intensive to process solid cherry into wood that can be laser cut, the effort is definitely worth it. The appearance of a solid hardwood is far better than something like birch plywood or alder wood. Additionally, the wood is sourced from a sawmill in western Michigan that produces lumber exclusively using street trees that have been removed due to construction or storm damage. I strongly believe in what they do and my dream is to open a similar operation myself!

Utilizing yard trees for wood is one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable ways to source lumber as it does not contribute to deforestation or environmental destruction. It also gives a positive outcome for trees that are lost due to disease, pests, or construction, and gives additional positive value to the urban forest.
